Our Favorites
Aspen:
Pat and I love biking from my parents’ cabin into Aspen for an early lunch at White House Tavern — hands down our favorite lunch spot in town. It’s the perfect reward after a morning ride.
If you’re in the mood for something a little more elevated, spend the day wandering downtown Aspen, stop into Kemo Sabe for boots or a custom hat, and end your evening with ice cream from Paradise Bakery.
For dinner, we always make time for one night at Kenichi — truly the best sushi and sake we’ve ever had.
Basalt & El Jabel:
Basalt holds some of our favorite low-key gems. Brick Pony has the best veggie burger you’ll ever have (we stand by that).
For breakfast, we love Bernard’s (if you like French pastries).
Glenwood Springs:
We love hiking Hanging Lake — it’s stunning and slightly intense, with the most gorgeous payoff at the top.
Afterward, there’s nothing better than relaxing at Glenwood Hot Springs Pool — the perfect way to unwind and soak in the mountain air.
Snowmass Village:
Snowmass Village has that quaint mountain-village charm we love — great shops, coffee, even an arcade. It’s perfect for a relaxed afternoon wandering. Snowmass also has some incredible hikes if you’re wanting to explore more of the valley.
